1.Thanksgiving zarh hmanning cio-If I were to give you a pop quiz right now and ask you the question, ‘When is Thanksgiving Day? A Thursday in November.” Yes, but which Thursday? November 24th? – The official Thanksgiving Day goes all the way back to 1789 when George Washington, the first President of the United States, proclaimed November 26th as a day of Thanksgiving. Different days are observed.- Finally in 1863, President Abraham Lincoln issued a White House proclamation calling on ‘the whole American people to observe a special day of Thanksgiving on the last Thursday of November of every year.’

‘I Lawmh khawh lo- The sin of ingratitude.
Shakespeare said, ‘How sharper than a serpent’s tooth it is to have a thankless child.’
The poet Milton, the blind poet, he said that a person with an ungrateful spirit only has one vice, he said because all of the rest of his vices are virtues compared to ingratitude. Every other sin is a virtue compared to the sin of ingratitude.
A man and his wife on a strict diet, sat down at the table for a meatless meal, all steamed and all green. He looked at what was before him and said, ”You say the blessing. If I thank the Lord for this He’ll know I’m lying!’

One Peanuts cartoon pictured Charlie Brown bringing out Snoopy’s dinner on Thanksgiving Day. But it was just his usual dog food in a bowl. Snoopy took one look at the dog food and said, ‘This isn’t fair. The rest of the world is eating turkey with all the trimmings, and all I get is dog food. Because, I am a dog, all I get is dog food.’ He stood there and stared at his dog food for a moment, and said, ‘I guess it could be worse. I could be a turkey.’
Daniel Rogers:
ILLUS: I’m sure it wouldn’t surprise you to know that some people are pretty dedicated fans when it comes to football. It kind of reminds me of the following story.
A young man was very excited because he had just won a ticket to the Super Bowl. His excitement lessened as he realized his seat was in the back of the stadium. As he searched the rows ahead of him for a better seat, he found an empty one right next to the field. He approached the man sitting next to the empty seat and asked if it was taken. The man replied, ”No.” Amazed, the young man asked, ”How could someone pass up a seat like this?”
The older gentleman responded, ”That’s my wife’s seat. We’ve been to every Super Bowl together since the day we were married, but she has passed away.”
”Oh, how sad,” the young man said. ”I’m sorry to hear that, but couldn’t you find a friend or relative to come with you?”
”No,” the man said, ”They’re all at the funeral.”

3. Nifatin hi lawmhni a si- James Merritt: If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, I’ve got great news for you. Though every day is certainly not a holiday; every day is Thanksgiving Day. If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, I’ve got great news for you. Though every day is certainly not a holiday; every day is Thanksgiving Day. That’s right – Thanksgiving is every day in the life of a believer.
Daniel 6:20 says, ”Daniel was on his knees three times a day, praying and giving thanks before his God.” Everyday was Thanksgiving for Daniel, and should be for us as well.
Colossians 3:15 says, ”And be thankful…” Romans 1:21 says ”Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful, but became vain in their indignations, and their foolish heart was darkened.”
– Charles Spurgeon commented on this text. He said ”I cannot say anything much worse of a man than he is not thankful to those who have been his benefactors; and when you say he is not thankful to God, you have said about the worst thing you can say about him.”
