3. The current situation of our life (You’ll Never Walk Alone
Nelson Price)

– Do you ever feel like you are all alone?

– Does loneliness ever engulf you?

– Have you ever looked at one of these street scenes from a major city with people walking shoulder to shoulder moving like a river of humanity?

– All crowded together yet many feeling all alone in the crowd. –

– So may things call for our attention that it requires discipline to focus on what is important.

4. Focus on Jesus who is God and being with you unexpectedly

– Moses and red sea

– Good Samaritan

– Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519) has been called the most briliant universal genius that ever lived.

– A considerable number of drawings and sketches, including airplanes and submarines. But, da Vinci only had the idea of such inventions. He never constructed actual working models, and hence is not generally regarded as an inventor.

The good is the thief of the best!
We never learn to discipline!
We never learn to focus!
We never learn to prioritize if we let the distractions rule us!

– Mark 4:37-41 (Thilchia kong an ruiat i Jesuh an philh)

– Circumstances are there by God to draw you to him instead of away from Him.

– Circumstances caused blind Baretmeous on the road to Jericho to call out all the louder because he heard that Jesus was there.

– The woman with the issue of Blood was all the more determined to not let the circumstances of her disease rule her when she saw Jesus there.

– Use circumstances to cause you to look for Jesus!

There is a moving scene in the dramatic play The Trial of Jesus by John Masefield where Longinus, a Roman centurion, reports to Pilate. After the report is given, Procula, Pilate’s wife, beckons the centurion and begs him to tell her of the prisoner’s death. After hearing him speak of the empty tomb, she asks, ‘‘Do you think He is dead?’’

Longinus answers, ‘‘No Lady, I don’t.’’
Impatiently, she implores, ‘‘Then where is He?’’
In awe Longinus answers, ‘‘Let loose in the world, Lady, where … where no one can … stop His truth.’’

Ask Him this question?
What is it about my life that displeases you Lord?
What is it about my life that pleases you Lord?
Listen He is talking.
The question is are you listening.
He is prompting you.
The men on the road to Emmaus realized that afterwards! Don’t be like them. Hear Him now!

Conclusion:
It is time to stop being distracted!
Determine now!
I won’t focus on:
My Circumstances
My Discouragements
Live in my ignorance
Walk in unbelief!
I will learn God’s word!
I will look for Jesus with me!
I will listen for the promptings of His Holy Spirit!
I will be a New Testament believer.
